Life update: what happened in June 🙂
The last two months were very intense for me, and at the same time they made me so happy and smiling that I would repeat them once again 🙂 However, I need a bit of rest and, most of all, sleep – work, study for the life exam, dance office (YES :D) and frequent trips, which made me no longer know what kind of world I live in. But I don’t complain anymore!
I haven’t had such an activity for a long time as in May 🙂
In mid-June, we finally had the opportunity to go to the Champions’ breakfast – an annual event where various restaurants offer delicious menus depending on the main theme – and this year they were: world cuisine. I think I have never eaten such delicacies 🙂 Beautiful weather, cheerful atmosphere and delicious food at very affordable prices – what you want more 🙂
The Color Run! Finally, I dared to take part in a cross-country event and I know I want to do it more often. Despite 30 degrees and 5 thousand participants, everything was well organized and marked. Every few minutes another group of runners/strollers of about 200 people started, so there wasn’t such a big crowd. Receiving starter kits for people from outside the city was a great advantage on the day of running in USD Terraces. And I practiced for a while with Marta Hennig! The most exciting trip this month was a one-day trip to the city on! Finally, I dared to take part in a cross-country event and I know I want to do it more often. I will just mention two things that disturbed me a little. First of all, there was no place to leave your belongings, which makes it difficult for people commuting to the capital to do so – it is known that everyone has some kind of backpack, some things to dress up with. Fortunately, the ladies from the reception at the national stadium saved us and watched over our wealth;)
The second thing is that hardly anyone was running! Perhaps 30 people were running to the whole group we started with? I know that the distance of 5km is not hard, but the continuous slalom between families walking slowly with children in 30 degrees was a bit tiring. All the time we had to apologize and ask for a place, which sometimes caused indignation among the walkers. I understand that the idea of Color Run is to increase physical activity, but the very name of the event also obliges to something and requires at least caution towards people who actually run 🙂
By the way, when I was in the city, I had the opportunity to try the delicious Vegan Ramen Shop. When I was in Japan a year ago, I ate the best ramen in my life, but it was meat in all of the broths. In the city I ate Spicy Miso Ramen, a rich, ‘thick’ infusion, which is really hard to create without zoonotic products. Chapeau bass!
And I can’t forget to mention my favourite snack – natto (fermented soybeans)! I will come back to you soon 🙂
And so we run, cook, party at weddings and prepare for ours, which has 364 days left. 🙂 Stay on!
