Nowadays many people dream of an athletic and athletic figure. People often go to gyms, where they carry loads to build up a lot of muscle mass. Workout with loads causes hypertrophy of muscle fibres, thanks to which our muscles become larger and work more efficiently. Regular strain on the musculoskeletal system also stimulates the reconstruction of bone tissue. As a result, it is better mineralized, has a higher density and is less prone to fractures. Regular physical exertion also strengthens joint cartilage, increases the secretion of joint smear, strengthens tendons and ligaments.

Many people suffer from muscle atrophy and osteoporosis. They are often a consequence of different neurological and locomotor systems. They are also a consequence of cachexia in the course of cancer, intensive chemotherapy or long-term immobilization. Such people need specialist treatment and should take measures to help them gain muscle mass and strengthen bones. Such treatment consists of rehabilitation, exercise, proper diet and pharmacotherapy. The most effective measures that help increase muscle mass are exogenous testosterone and its analogues, the so-called anabolic steroids. They are administered in the form of intramuscular injections into the buttock. There are also oral and rub-down forms, but their effectiveness is uncertain.

An interesting alternative to anabolic steroids is the so-called sarma, or selective testosterone receptor modulators. They are taken orally. These agents combine with the receptor and cause potentiation of testosterone action. LAG-4033, i.e. ligandrol, which increases the muscle mass and bone mineral density, is one of the strongest and best tested aliments. MK-677, which increases plasma concentrations of growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor type 1, has also proven effective.
