Are grandstands good seats at Fenway? ›

We recommend avoiding the entire Grandstand and focusing your search on other areas of the ballpark with clear sitelines. So why sit in the Grandstand at all? There are two main reasons: First, the Grandstand seats demonstrate the charm of Fenway Park better than any other area.

While bleachers are simple tiered seating, grandstands usually offer additional amenities. They are typically associated with more formal and luxurious settings, such as football stadiums or racetracks. The term grandstand often implies a larger and more permanent structure.

The best seats are of course on the Green Monster in left field. After that any seat is special and worth every buck. There are some seats that are blocked out or partial view so make sure to check that out before buying tickets.

Loge Box seats behind home plate, from sections LB125-LB155, are far enough from the field to provide protection from the sun. Field Box seats behind home plate and on the 3rd base line will start the game in the sun but may become shaded later in the afternoon.

Covered Seating at Fenway Park

There are covered seats in the Infield Grandstand sections on the lower level, behind home plate or on the 3rd base side of the ballpark, and farther back in one of those same sections or in a row that's covered.

Grandstands are the larger, more complex seating systems when comparing the two. Grandstands may have basic bench seating-but can also feature individual chair back seats.

In the deepest part of right field at Fenway Park, seat 21 in row 37 of section 42 is painted bright red, standing out amongst an endless sea of green. It's such a Fenway landmark that it's even visible on the official seating chart when fans buy tickets from RedSox.com.

You're allowed to bring a sealed water bottle into the game (16 oz. or smaller), which can save you $5. There's also a little-known water fountain behind the grandstands on the third base side of home plate. (Hint: If you want to fit in with the locals, you'll want to call it a bubbler, or more accurately, a bub-lah.)

The term "bleachers" used in the sense of benches for spectators can be traced back to at least 1889; named as such because the generally uncovered wooden boards were "bleached by the sun".

Bleachers can cause low back, leg, and butt pain when sitting. There are several reasons for this. Bleachers do not have backrests, which causes poor posture when sitting in them. People tend to slouch forward, hurting the butt and lower back.

Go for Loge Box seating or Grandstand seating in the 15-28 sections, for the most shade. Or, if you want to be more comfortable and can afford it, go for the EMC club or the State Street Pavilion seating areas.

If you are not a Red Sox fan you are gonna love Fenway. It's small for a major league stadium and that makes it the best ever. While I prefer seats in the shaded areas there isn't a bad seat in the house. All because it's small.

How much does it cost to sit there. While the 'Red Seat' has historically cost $23 to $45 to sit in per game, baseball ticket prices have steadily rose throughout the years, so the iconic seat's price may have also risen towards the higher end of that range.
